What we're about

Dragon boat racing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Originating in China some 2,000 years ago, it is popular throughout Asia, the Pacific Islands, Europe and the United States. Crews consist of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steerer. The Alameda Dragon Flyers Dragon Boat Racing Club runs practices at least 3 times a week.
We participate in local and West Coast races from April through October each year, and have an active social calendar for paddlers. Novice, recreational and competitive paddlers 18 years and older are invited to to attend 3 introductory sessions before joining.
Equipment and instruction are provided. It's a great workout at a bargain price - come check us out today! We meet at the Bridgeside Shopping Center, 2531 Blanding Avenue in Alameda. Our dock is behind the Nob Hill grocery store. Ask for Nancy when you arrive.
When you RSVP for a Meetup with Alameda DragonFlyers, we are holding a space in our boat for you. If you find you cannot attend, please change your RSVP to make room for another guest. Thanks!
Please submit our liability waiver: https://form.jotform.com/Prmwaivers/alameda-dragon-flyers---liability-w  You must provide proof of your Covid-19 vaccination and booster.
