Special Guest Presentation
At 7:00 pm, we will hear from Richard Heilbrun, Wildlife Conservation Program Director at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Richard has been a wildlife biologist for 20 years right here in San Antonio and will share insights of successes and challenges in a career spent serving our natural resources and working with conservation partners in San Antonio, statewide, and nationally. There is much to celebrate, and there is still much left to do as we plan for the future of wildlife conservation. Richard will share current research highlights, some exciting statewide policy initiatives, and will conclude by outlining the opportunities and hurdles that lie ahead for our community-based volunteer movement as we move into our fourth decade.
