LoneStar REIA 3-Day Investor QuickStart
Friday, August 28 – Sunday, August 30

IMPORTANT: This is a REIA MEMBERS-ONLY event and is included with your LoneStar REIA / Alamo REIA membership at no additional cost.

You MUST register through the Alamo REIA website to attend. A Meetup RSVP does NOT register you for this event.

If you're newer to real estate investing—or you've been learning but still aren't sure how all the pieces fit together—the LoneStar REIA 3-Day Investor QuickStart is designed to help you connect the dots.

Over three days, we'll combine education with real properties, real numbers, real-world examples, case studies, and practical application.

The goal isn't to teach you everything about real estate investing in one weekend.

It's to help you leave with a much clearer understanding of how investors evaluate properties, analyze opportunities, make decisions, manage rehabs, and move deals forward.

FRIDAY — BUILD THE FOUNDATION
We'll start by looking at the bigger picture of real estate investing.
We'll discuss:

  • Different real estate investing strategies
  • How investors make money
  • How deals come together
  • What investors look for in an opportunity
  • Understanding the numbers
  • Common mistakes newer investors make
  • How to determine which direction may be right for you

The goal is to help you better understand what you're looking for, what matters, and why.

SATURDAY MORNING — PROPERTY WALKTHROUGHS
Saturday morning, we're getting out into the field.
We'll visit actual properties and walk through them from an investor's perspective.
We'll talk about:

  • What to look for when walking a property
  • Identifying potential problems
  • Evaluating property condition
  • Thinking through repairs
  • What could affect the value of the deal
  • Questions you should ask before buying
  • Things newer investors commonly overlook

Seeing an actual property can make concepts that seemed confusing in a classroom suddenly start making sense.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON — REHAB, REPAIRS & CONTRACTORS
After the property walkthroughs, we'll dig into one of the biggest areas that can make—or break—a real estate investment:
The rehab.
We'll discuss:

  • Estimating repairs
  • Creating a scope of work
  • Understanding rehab costs
  • Working with contractors
  • Managing contractors and projects
  • Avoiding unnecessary improvements
  • Controlling your rehab budget
  • Doing the RIGHT rehab for the property and your exit strategy

Because the goal isn't simply to make a property look better.
The goal is to make the right improvements, for the right reasons, at the right price.

SUNDAY — PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
Sunday is about connecting the pieces.
We'll work through deals, numbers, case studies, strategies, and real-world situations to help you better understand how investors think through an opportunity from beginning to end.
We'll look at the decisions investors make—and why they make them.
By the end of the weekend, our goal is for you to have greater clarity around the investing process and a much better idea of what your next steps should be.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Investor QuickStart is especially valuable for:

  • New real estate investors
  • New LoneStar REIA / Alamo REIA members
  • Investors working toward their first deal
  • People who have been learning but haven't taken action yet
  • Investors who want more hands-on experience
  • Anyone who wants to better understand properties, repairs, numbers, and deals

You don't need to already own investment property.
You don't need to have a deal under contract.

And you don't need to know everything before you show up.

That's the point of QuickStart.
Come ready to learn.
Come ready to ask questions.
Come ready to walk properties.
Come ready to look at real deals and real-world investing.
And leave with greater clarity, knowledge, confidence, and direction about what to do next.
