Prompt Driven Programming Workshop

Details
This workshop is for software developers who want to get hands on with AI assisted development. We’re not here to vibe code or mess around with single prompt experiments. This is about working with AI in a way that actually makes sense for building real software.
We’ll be working from a shared project idea with a defined set of requirements. Everyone will be using their own AI programming assistant: Claude, Copilot, GPT, Codex, whatever you’re comfortable with. You won’t be writing much code yourself. You’ll be focusing on system design, writing prompts, and figuring out how to get the best results from your agent.
We’ll break things into timed work sessions. Every 20 minutes, we’ll pause for a short roundtable to show where we’re at, what worked, what didn’t, and what we tried. The goal is to learn from each other, compare strategies, and get better at using these tools as part of the workflow.
What to Expect:
- Shared project in Python
- Prompt engineering and context design
- Real time experimentation and discussion
- Everyone working toward the same goal, different approaches
What to Bring:
- A laptop
- Your development environment already set up
- Whatever AI tools you’re using ready to go
We won’t have time to help people get set up, so come ready. This is for software developers who want to level up how they work with AI by focusing on architecture and prompting instead of raw code.
