The PHFS presents White Heat, 1949, at the Steamer #10 Theatre.

"You can't call yourself an expert on gangster films unless you've seen “White Heat”. This picture, starring James Cagney, has been called the acme of the gangster prison film; perhaps the roughest of the genre with a climax that almost blows the theater down. It is a magnificent examination of the criminal mind and Cagney's finest moment. The film took all the cliches, tropes and general violence of its genre and made it into art.
