AR Game Session Saturday 2:30-4:30
Details
Join us for an afternoon of social interaction, curiosity, and play at the Washington Ave Library.
We’ll explore a mix of interpersonal games, connection practices, and a few movement-based exercises to get us out of our heads and into real interaction. Expect laughter, surprise, and moments that feel meaningful.
To make the games work well, we’re aiming for a group of at least 14 participants. If we have 14 confirmed attendees 24 hours in advance, we’re on. If not, we’ll pause and try again another time.
What to Expect
This is an interpersonal, fast-moving game session where you’ll practice being more real with other people.
You’ll rotate through short, structured exercises in pairs and triads. Each round has a clear prompt and a time boundary.
We won’t be teaching concepts this session—just offering space to you for play. It’s unique, sometimes disarming, occasionally uncomfortable in a way that invites us to wake up.
So look inside and find your courage: say something true instead of polished; listen intently to another’s perspective without advising them; become aware of your assumptions; stay present when you feel discomfort; and play with trying on modes of being you don’t usually allow yourself.
## Agreements We Practice
These games are most fun when we take responsibility for our own well being, we respect each other’s boundaries around consent and privacy, we take advantage of the opportunity to do things that feel a little out of the ordinary for us, and we give each other space to be a little messy.
## What This Is and Isn’t
Consider this a place for playful exploration around human connection rather than a place for therapy, counseling, or a support group. We aren’t processing trauma or providing low-friction affirmation. We are playing with what it is like to show up a little differently. Be Playful! Be Brave! Be Real!
