Afternoon- Town of Athabasca, AB T9S 1V2
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From Boyle AB take Hwy 663 eastbound to Hwy 55 through Lac La Biche, which turns into Hwy 881.
Turn left onto Provincial Park Rd to the boat launch parking lot.
For afternoon walk proceed westbound on Hwy 55 from Lac La Biche to Athabasca AB (50 Ave) to Rotary Park at 47 St.

RATING: 2B/3B
FEE: $2.00 for most walkers, except those on the Trekkers Frequent Walker Program or on their first 5 free walks.
REGISTRATION: (morning) 11:00 - 11:15; (afternoon) 2:45 - 3:00
WALK INFORMATION: The morning Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park walk consists of a 6 or 10 km walk, followed by a "bring your own" picnic lunch.
The afternoon routes in Athabasca are a 6 or 11 km walk along the Athabasca River and forest trails. Note that the 11 km walk is not guided.
BUS INFORMATION: One seat is available on the bus for $60.
The tour bus departs from the St. Albert Inn, #156 St Albert Trail, 8:00 am Saturday May 23, 2026.
Poles, lunch and personal belongings can be loaded starting at 7:30 am.
Free car parking is available at the hotel.

The bus returns to St. Albert at 6:00 pm May 23.

Bring your own picnic lunch! The bus trip doesn’t include a lunch stop, but bathroom breaks will be adequate
