Discussion: Disintegration
Details
Join us to discuss The Cure's Disintegration. Released in 1989, this was the 8th studio album for the English goth-rock act. It was the best-selling album of their career, going double platinum in the United States on the strength of hit songs "Fascination Street," Lovesong," and "Pictures of You." Entertainment Weekly said this “moody masterpiece is a gorgeous sonic bath of lush soundscapes and lovesick nostalgia.” Consequence of Sound said it “is an expansive and rich album that reflects the darkness of [lead singer Robert] Smith’s mindset at the time, but still with a romantic core full of yearning.” Read more about the album here.
