Albuquerque Hiking

This group is for anyone who loves hiking and exploring the trails in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas to include the east mountains and Placitas. Dogs are welcome. Let’s get outside and have fun!
Side note…I travel a lot from Arizona and New Mexico and have a Meetup group in Arizona called Prescott Hiking so the hikes I lead here will be sporadic.
Hiking can include a level of risk and therefore be potentially hazardous and/or dangerous. Risk is always a factor when hiking and these risks include falls (broken bones, head, neck, or back injuries,) weather (excessive heat or cold,) wildlife (bears, mountain lions or rabid animals) and negligence (of the hiker or another hiker) that could lead to injury or death while hiking. For these reasons, it is the responsibility of the hiker to learn the necessary skills for safe hiking. All hikers must assume responsibility for their own actions, safety, exercise sound judgement, and be prepared for all conditions. Every hiker that participates in the scheduled hikes does so at their own risk and will not hold the organizers responsible for any mishaps.
