We will be hiking 6 miles, out and back, along the Rio Grande River on the Tingley Beach Trails. This trail is all dirt and has beautiful tall trees, to include Cottonwood, Mulberry, Oak, and Juniper. I’ve seen lots of ducks, sparrows, Sandhill cranes and porcupines resting in the trees! I’ve also seen trees that beavers have been chomping on all night 😁

This trail is very easy. We will meet in the dirt parking lot at the southern end of Tingley Beach.

Please dress in layers because the weather will be cold. Hats and gloves are recommended. Since this is a long hike, bring water, electrolytes, and snacks.

Attached are photos of the hike.

Directions to the trailhead: From Interstate 25 travel West (right) on Avenida Cesar Chavez (which willl turn into Avenida Dolores Huerta.) Turn North (right) onto 8th Street. Turn West (left) onto Bosque Trail. We willl park in the dirt parking lot before you turn west onto Bosque Trail.
