Harwood Song Circle

Hey, we had a fun time at the park sharing songs and getting to know each other. This will be the first song circle at Harwood Art Center. It will likely be another relaxed jam as the group grows and we feel the space out musically.

We all write for many reasons: To express ourselves and our emotions, to process what life throws at us and to tell a story or someone else’s story.

But sometimes we need a break sitting in those deep thoughts and we need to write a song that isn’t so draining.

I balance my sad songs by writing fun songs about dogs, fishing, mountains and watering cans.

Challenge: Write or bring a song about something that makes you happy.

Venue Info: We will be meeting inside the Harwood Art Center. It is a wonderful community space that relies entirely on donations to keep its doors open to groups like ours. Fun fact: they currently host a comedy circle in this exact same room on Sundays!

Donations & Sustainability: To help our group get its footing, the first few meetups are fully covered and completely free for everyone! As we grow, we want to become trusted partners to Harwood. In order to use this space more than once a month, we will suggest a small $3 to $5 donation per person at future circles to support the venue. No one will ever be turned away for lack of funds, but any help keeping our song circle sustainable is deeply appreciated!
