What we’re about
The ABQ Writing Project is a writing group made up of prose writers, poets, screenwriters, songwriters, visual artists, filmmakers, anyone who would like to play with language. The purpose of this writing group is to create community through the practice of writing as a collaborative act that brings together diverse perspectives, people, experiences, and art. We welcome all forms of experimentation and projects in every stage of development.
We offer kind, but honest feedback in support of each writers goals.
Please note: there is a monthly fee to maintain our presence on meetup.com. We ask all active members to contribute to this maintenance cost.

A note on membership requests:
Please make sure you include your real name and a photo on your Meetup profile. I will automatically reject any requests from users without a name and photo. I only check meetup occasionally, so if I haven't responded to your request it is simply because I have yet to see it. I approve everyone that meets the above criteria. Thanks!

Writing Critique Workshop
Natalie's House ABQ, 920 Carlisle Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM, USGreetings! The Writing Critique Workshop meets on the second Sunday of each month (with rare exceptions).
We will start with 10-15 minutes of brief introductions, announcements regarding writer's resources, and/or recent achievements which might have been spurred by this group. This will be followed by five 20 minute critiques of pre-submitted work.
The workshop welcomes writers of all levels and genres who wish to receive kind but honest critiques in order to improve their writing.
Submissions should be no longer than 2500 words. There is some leeway here just know that attendees may not read your entire piece if you submit something longer than the designated 2500 words.
All submissions must be sent to me at info@nataliearriola.com no later than 1 week prior to the meeting date.
