Schunemunk Skyline Loop

We'll slink into the wild beauty of Schunemunk State Park with a startling mile per view ratio: 1 to 4! Yes, there are 32 viewpoints along this 7.8-mile loop that showcases some of the greatest Hudson Highlands hits. This hike begins on the Otterkill Trail, warming you up before climbing to the open ridges of the Jessup Trail, where you’ll see surrounding valleys, the distant Hudson River, and rolling farmlands. Quick lunch at the Megaliths and then we'll traverse the glacially-carved conglomerate rock of the Western Ridge Trail, dotted with pitch pines and dramatic boulder formations, before descending the Trestle Trail down to the parking lot.

This hike will all be at a faster pace: AMC A Rated (2.5 MPH)
No sweep.
