Change Your Career, Change Your Life :: Alchemy Info Session & Graduate Panel

Wondering about a career in tech? There are many paths into tech and many types of people too. The volume of suggestions and advice can be confusing and contradictory. Come to our event on October 17th, and find out from our staff and grads:

• What jobs and roles exist and what are the associated career trajectories
• What are the biggest motivators for people transitioning into tech
• What it takes to get hired in tech coming from a non-traditional background
• How to leverage your prior work experiences and career skills to land a role in tech

You'll also hear from 6 grads ranging in age from 22 to 50+ that entered our program with little to no coding experience and have gone on to fulfilling careers as software developers:

• Keli worked in a yarn shop and secured a role at Nike.
• Mack worked in retail and secured a Software Engineer role at Workday
• Marcy was a going to go into law and is now a Software Engineer at Esri
• Meryl was a graphic designer who is now a Software Engineer II at BrightMD
• Injoong was into video and is now at Tivix as a Software Developer
• Mark was a Design Engineer who chose software development after a layoff and is now a Software Engineer at Hatch Data (His wife took our program too!)
