Welcome to Board Games at The Alehouse! We are a group of social individuals who enjoy making new friends from all over the world while having a great time playing board games. Whether you're a fan of card games or looking to discover new recommended board games, our meetups are the perfect opportunity to connect over burgers, drinks, and fun nights. Join us for a fun and interactive experience where we blend social networking with brain-teasing games. Let's gather round, play some games, and have a blast together!

We're back with some extra Mondays 💥💥💥
The Alehouse has reopened on Mondays🥳 and welcomes our Board Games group 🎉 Come along and join us. No ticket required. Just register on MeetUp.
Our group started in 2017 and renamed as BG@TA in April 2025. We meet every second Thursday. And some Mondays too (again 😁).
Mondays are approximately every three weeks. Check MeetUp for precise dates.
We also have a regular group on Thursdays - every two weeks. Since December last year, every event (except two 😲), has been full. To guarantee your seat on Thursdays (drink included), you need a ticket.
Witches, pirates, builders, saboteurs or simply 'infected,' you are welcome to join us at any event, Mondays or Thursdays.
Feel free to bring your favourite game with you, just be prepared to explain the rules to others. It is preferable that games are either in English or language-independent, so that anyone can play. Games available on spot: Saboteur, Skull King, Coup, What do you meme?, Uno, Druids, Codenames, Catan and many others. Feel free to come without any game as well!

The Alehouse is presently closed on Mondays. However 🥳 Come along and join us on our regular Thursdays (21 August, 4/18 September ...).
Witches, pirates, builders, saboteurs or simply 'infected,' you are welcome to join us every two weeks on Thursdays, same time and place. To reserve your space on Thursdays, you'll need a ticket CHF12.00 (includes seat + first drink up to CHF10.50). [Full details on event date page.]
