What we’re about
Find Your Laughy Place!
Every class is packed with joy, laughter, and just the right amount of silliness.
We’ll have a ton of fun in trusting, welcoming space where you can tap into your feel-good superpowers and build confidence through play.
You don’t need any previous experience or formal training — and you definitely don’t need to think of yourself as a “funny person.” Just be ready to dive in and embrace the moment.
About Laughy Place Improv
This meetup group is a fun way to get to know awesome people and sample a free taste of the classes I offer through my small business: [LaughyPlaceImprov.com](http://laughyplaceimprov.com/). Each class is a mix of participants through meetup or through [LaughyPlaceImprov.com](http://laughyplaceimprov.com/).
A lot of people who join us through meetup (up to three free sessions - no strings attached! ) decide that they love the community and become repeat customers. If this is you then I'll ask you to become a paid community member through the website. Paid participation helps me cover the costs like the venue, insurance, and management.
💡 Classes often fill up quickly. If you're on the waitlist here on Meetup, you can still guarantee your spot by booking directly through our website. [LaughyPlaceImprov.com](http://laughyplaceimprov.com/).
About Me
I'm Ben, and improv has been a huge source of fun and destressification in my life for years.
I started teaching improv in March 2025 when my regular day job got zapped by a sudden change in US foreign policy.
I launched LaughyPlaceImprov.com because 'improv' was the answer when someone challenged me to consider what my dream job would be if money were not an obstacle.
My goal is to build an improv community that is fun and easy to be a part of, where people know your name and are glad to see you again, and where you can set aside your daily stresses for a while.
