About us

Catharsis and Release: Metal, hardcore, and punk are emotionally intense and physically expressive. For people who have lived through high-stress, traumatic, or intensely regimented experiences, this music provides a sanctioned space to scream, vent, and release pent-up energy in a way that is often difficult elsewhere.

  • Structured Chaos: There is a strange parallel and savage empathy between the chaos of a mosh pit and the chaos of a combat scenario. Both have unwritten rules, a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood where you look out for the person next to you, and a controlled environment for navigating chaos. It's a familiar feeling in an unfamiliar context.
  • Rejecting False Patriotism: The punk and hardcore ethos has always been skeptical of authority and nationalist narratives. Many veterans share this nuanced view, having seen the reality behind the propaganda. This creates a space for more authentic, critical conversations about service and country that aren't possible in more traditional veteran groups.
  • Camaraderie Without the B.S.: The military creates bonds through shared hardship. The metal/punk/hardcore scene does the same at shows and in the pit. It's a camaraderie based on raw, authentic experience rather than rank or formalities. You don't have to explain yourself; people just get it.
  • Metal and Hardcore have long addressed themes of social justice, political corruption, personal struggle, and mental health—issues that resonate deeply with many veterans.

We invite you to join us and come have fun! Let’s dance and mosh and laugh and commiserate! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🤘💙
