What we’re about

New Millennial Parents of the DMV is a community for expectant and first-time parents beginning a new and exciting stage of their lives.

We’re a couple currently expecting our first child in Spring 2026 and created this group to connect with other Millennials (DOB 1985–1996) in the DMV who are in a similar phase—or not too far past it. Our goal is to meet other couples navigating first-time parenthood together and to build friendships with people experiencing these changes as a shared journey.

This group is intentionally focused on first-time parents and parents of babies in the early months/years, creating space to share experiences around pregnancy, newborn life, sleep deprivation, work transitions, and the everyday joys and challenges of new parenthood—as individuals and as partners.

Our events are low-pressure and baby-friendly, including stroller walks, coffee meetups, casual park hangs, and daytime gatherings for those on parental leave. Many events are designed to be welcoming for both partners to attend together, with flexibility always encouraged. The goal is genuine connection, support, and community—no pressure and no judgment.

If you’re entering parenthood and looking to build community with others who get it, we’d love to meet you.
