What we’re about
The Eagle's Nest is a shamanic community in the Alexandria Virginia area open to those interested in stepping into their authenticity, and their connection to spirit. We welcome those just starting on their path, and those who have many years of experience. We welcome all shamanic traditions and paths that seek to promote positive personal transformation, the health of one's community, and honors our connection to the earth and to spirit.
We will not "card" you at the door. We do not care about your credentials, or how much you know, or who you studied with. If spirit speaks to you, and if you have an open heart and an open mind, we welcome you.
Many in our community make a living working with spirit, and we take this work seriously. This is not a community for those with idle curiosity, or for spectators. We do hard work for ourselves, and we work hard for each other. And then, we have a lot of fun.

For those who already have one foot in non-ordinary reality; who are overwhelmed by their sensitivity to spirit; who are curious about the next steps they should take on their path; who have no one who understands the life they live; who are looking for a place they can talk "shamanic shop" with others who walk a similar path...this is the community for you.
The wellbeing, health, and safety of our community are of paramount importance. Everyone is welcome at public events, however, only vetted members are allowed to attend private events. And there is a possibility that you may be turned away from a public or private event if two or more practitioners pick up something of concern that isn't resolved with a simple cleansing.
We host seasonal open houses (except in winter), for those who are interested in who we are, what we do, and how we work in our local communities.
