Have you been to Chinatown to eat before? What are your thoughts of Chinatown? If you've been, which restaurants have you been to and what are your favorite dishes?

I have only been to China town (in Philly) once and I do not remember the name but know it was on Race Street. I have been to Chinatown in San Francisco, New York and LA... visited Taipei and Hong Kong when in the military.

Is there a particular restaurant that you've been wanting to try in Chinatown but never have? Generally, what are your favorite foods?

I have lived in the northern suburbs and would love to try all the good restaurants. I Enjoy the spicy cooking... and we are open to most styles and meats/seafood.

As we are looking for the adventurous and those willing to try anything once tell us what is the strangest thing you've ever ate.

When we would go to Taipei I would use my "pointee-Talkee" to get the cab driver to a restaurant. No one spoke English and we would just point at some things on the menu. Sometimes the waiter would be kind and move the finger to something better.

Would you consider yourself a lover of Asian food? If so, what country's cuisine do you love the most and why?

We enjoy most all Asian foods... Sushi and Japanese, Thai, Phillipino, Chinese (szechuan Hunan preferred) Vietnamese and some Indian. Chinese the best maybe because I have eaten that the most and feel more comfortable ordering it???

What's the main reason you wish to join this group and what would you like to gain from this group that will make your time worth while?

I would hope to learn more of the regional cooking of the orient... learn the cultures of the people that represent those regions and meet folks that have similar interests and may even be good candidates for travel together.

Hello... I am a Husband, Father, former Military Officer/Aviator, aviation enthusiast, golfer and Sales Professional who loves to travel with my Wife near and far. I have traveled in Asia and enjoy the food and will enjoy meeting, learning and eating
