CANOE TRIP 8/25 NIGER LAKE SAT AUG 23 - SUN AUG 24

Details
This can be a one day trip, or an overnight trip. The cool, clear water of Niger Lake is a good place to spend a hot summer weekend.
This is an easy trip. We can drive within 50 m. of the put in, and the paddle distance will be less than 1 km.
We may be the only people on the lake, and have an island all to ourselves.
The water will be warm for swimming, and bug season should be over.
Niger Lake is on Crown Land, no camping fees, but no facilities provided. We may have to cut our campsite in the bush ourselves.
If you like fishing, Niger Lake offers Lake Trout and Brook Trout. Bring food in case the fish don’t want to play with you.
