The First Fun Evening Out for 50+ in Alicante

Hi! I’m Solange, Marvi’s daughter. We decided to create this event for a very simple reason: there are no fun events in Alicante for people 50 and over. At the same time, I kept noticing something special. Even though my mum has only lived here for one year, people follow her wherever she goes. She makes friends easily, brings people together, and always knows where to go for a good time. So we thought, let’s turn one of her usual evenings out into something we can all enjoy together.

This event is free to join, but everyone chooses what they want to order and pays for their own food and drinks. The idea is to enjoy Alicante the Spanish way, relaxed and social, with no pressure and no rushing.
We will meet at 7 PM and enjoy the evening together at an easy pace, visiting different bars. There will be some light walking between places, about 20 minutes total during the evening.

What the evening looks like:
• First stop: a friendly pub with a welcoming owner and a terrace, just for drinks
• Second stop: a casual bar where you can eat if you wish, such as hot dogs or jacket potatoes
• Third stop: a bar with live music
• Final stop: a lively bar to dance to English classics, arriving around 10 PM

You are welcome to stay for the whole evening or leave at any point.
Marvi will be hosting the night. She speaks a little English and lots of Spanish warmth.

Note: While I am not part of the 50+ group, I will be joining to help with English translation if needed.
This event is open to everyone, but people 50+ are especially welcome.

La primera salida divertida para mayores de 50 en Alicante

¡Hola! Soy Solange, la hija de Marvi. Decidimos crear este encuentro por una razón muy sencilla: no hay eventos divertidos en Alicante para personas mayores de 50. Al mismo tiempo, veía algo muy especial. Aunque mi madre solo lleva un año viviendo aquí, la gente la sigue allá donde va. Hace amigos con facilidad, une a las personas y siempre sabe dónde ir para pasarlo bien. Así que pensamos, vamos a convertir una de sus noches habituales en una salida para compartir.

Este encuentro es gratuito, pero cada persona paga su propia comida y bebida. La idea es disfrutar de Alicante como lo hacen los locales, sin prisas y sin compromisos. Nos encontraremos a las 19:00 y pasaremos la tarde y la noche juntos, a un ritmo tranquilo, visitando diferentes bares. Habrá que caminar un poco entre ellos, en total unos 20 minutos durante toda la noche.

Cómo será la noche:
• Primera parada: un pub con un dueño muy amable y una terraza, solo para tomar algo
• Segunda parada: un bar informal donde puedes comer si te apetece, como perritos calientes o patatas asadas
• Tercera parada: un bar con música en directo
• Última parada: un bar animado para bailar con clásicos en inglés, llegando alrededor de las 22:00

Marvi será quien nos acompañe durante la noche. Habla un poco de inglés y mucho con el corazón.

Nota: Aunque yo no formo parte del grupo de 50+, asistiré para ayudar con la traducción al inglés cuando sea necesario.
Este grupo está abierto a todo el mundo, pero las personas mayores de 50 son especialmente bienvenidas.

Puedes quedarte toda la noche o marcharte cuando quieras.
