Welcome to Vancouver UFO & Preparing for Contact
Explore the fascinating world of UFOs and extraterrestrial encounters with us. This is a space for curious minds and passionate researchers to come together, exchange insights, and share personal experiences related to ET contact and the unexplained. We dive into evidence, discuss theories about why extraterrestrials are engaging with humanity, and examine how these phenomena may be influencing society and consciousness.
Our group is also a welcoming community for those who may feel isolated in their interest—here, you’ll find like-minded people and the opportunity to form lasting friendships. Instead of being speaker focused, most meetings are facilitated group discussions with our collective knowledge and wisdom.
Whether you’ve spent years investigating these topics or you’re just beginning your journey, you’re invited to be part of meaningful conversations that challenge the limits of conventional thinking. We regularly host meetups, talks, and guest speakers, and we’re cultivating a strong in-person community in Vancouver and Coquitlam. Online Community and Participation
We’re building an online community open to everyone with an interest in UFOs, extraterrestrials, and the deeper questions of contact and consciousness. You don’t need to be a ufologist to get involved. If you're interested in hosting a meeting or sharing your perspective, simply reach out to our organizer, Brian. If you organize a UFO or experiencer meeting and would like it listed here, feel free to contact Brian.
Brian Ruhe founded the Vancouver UFO Meetup on June 3, 2009 and he is part of a school of thought within ufology, but this Meetup welcomes all viewpoints. We encourage respectful dialogue, and all voices are welcome to participate and be heard.

Zoom Etiquette
We hold frequent online meetings—usually on weekends or whenever our guests are available.
To make things easy, we use a passcode-enabled Zoom room, which allows you to bypass the waiting room entirely.

• Please mute your microphone when not speaking—this helps improve the quality for those editing and watching the videos later.
• If you prefer not to appear on camera, simply turn your video off.

Note on Donations
These events are free and no donation is expected but if people are inspired to help cover Brian's costs, you can give a donation to him. This Meetup costs $496/ yr and the Zoom account costs $230/ yr. Some meeting rooms are free, some have a fee.

Ultraterrestrials and the UFO Mystery (Coquitlam Meetup)
Coquitlam Public Library City Centre Branch, 1169 Pintree Way, Coquitlam, BC, Coquitlam, BC, Coquitlam, BC, CAIN PERSON talk and discussion at the Coquitlam Public Library – City Centre Branch, in the Board Room.
Keegan will give a talk and we’ll have a discussion about how most UFO discussions focus on extraterrestrials—visitors from distant planets traveling across space. But researchers like Jacques Vallée and John Keel proposed a very different possibility: what if the intelligence behind UFOs is not from outer space at all, but from here—sharing our world in ways we don’t yet understand?This talk explores the Ultraterrestrial hypothesis, the idea that UFO phenomena may originate from an intelligence that exists alongside humanity, possibly from another dimension, layer of reality, or hidden aspect of our own planet. Drawing from Vallée’s comparative research into folklore, religion, and modern UFO encounters, as well as Keel’s investigations into high-strangeness events, we’ll examine patterns that connect UFO sightings, paranormal phenomena, and historical accounts of mysterious entities.
Rather than offering a single answer, this discussion invites us to look at the UFO phenomenon through a wider lens—one where the mystery may be deeper, stranger, and closer to home than the extraterrestrial hypothesis suggests.
And also, Samantha with give us a short slide show and then we’ll have an open discussion about how in the middle ages sightings of orbs and aerial phenomenon were interpreted through their religious framework, and today we interpret sightings through our advanced technology framework.
The library is conveniently located across the street from Lincoln SkyTrain Station at Coquitlam Centre mall, making it easy to reach by transit or car.

Parking: There is free parking at the library on the roof. You turn down Northern Ave. and then into the parking garage, then follow signs for library parking on the roof. Also, the Coquitlam Centre mall has four hours of complimentary parking for customers.This event supports the development of an ongoing UFO discussion group in the Coquitlam area. Local participation helps strengthen regular in-person meetups, alongside our Vancouver-area gatherings and Zoom events.
