DANA POINT - Sunday Afternoon Boardgame Meetup

Meeting again at the Hilton Gardens in Dana Point! Get your heavy games ready!

*DESCRIPTION:
Join us at the Hilton near the beach for a most excellent, marathon afternoon of gaming and dining! Enjoy playing a selection of modern board and card games! We will have a nice conference room reserved for our group.

No experience necessary to attend!

*FOOD AND DRINK:
Please be mindful that this is a business which is allowing us to play for free and that it only works for them as long as it makes business sense. You are strongly encouraged to patronize by buying a beverage or food item at each visit. The current menu will be posted in an attached image. In addition to the menu items, there is a snack bar in the lobby. A water filling station and ATM are next to the elevators.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK ALLOWED! No smoking or vaping!

*ARRIVAL TIME AND CANCELLATIONS:
Show up any time you like-- but expect that if you're late it is more likely that you will have to wait before you can get into a game. Since this is an 8+ hour event, people are likely to be arriving and leaving at various times throughout.

This event may fill up, in which case there will be a waiting list. If you RSVP and later find that you are unable to attend, please indicate so by updating your status accordingly at least one hour prior to the meet time so that people in the queue have time to react to getting in. Host will go through the sign-in sheet afterward and mark no-shows.

*PARKING:
Self-parking is free in the underground garage area. Valet parking is also available (but not free). From the garage, take the elevator to the Lobby. The conference room is to the right of the front desk. Before you leave the event, you will need to pick up a card which you will scan and deposit in a box in order to exit the structure.

*REGARDING GAMES:
Game selection depends entirely on what is brought by attendees and made available to share. Consider bringing your favorites to teach and play with others. This is up to you, but we encourage attendees to place games on a front counter (game pool) where others can borrow them for the duration of the event. You are encouraged to announce in comments below what games you plan to bring and/or a few that you would like to try.
