Offa's Dyke & Chirk Aqueduct

Meet at 9.45 for a 10.00 am start.

From Chirk, we head west along the Ceiriog valley before turning south-west to join the Offa's Dyke Path at Craignant. We follow that north and east, meeting the Llangollen canal near Froncysyllte. And finally we take the canal towpath back to Chirk, via a couple of tunnels and the Chirk Aqueduct (possibly not for you if you suffer from vertigo or claustrophobia!). Or we might do it in reverse...

20 to 21 km with about 620 metres of ascent (13 miles and 2,000 feet).
