Who: Philosophy Social is a regular philosophical discussion group that is open to anyone with intellectual curiosity and would love to expand their horizons through dialogue. No previous philosophical experience necessary.

What to expect: "Cogito Ergo Sum"
We are kicking off the series focusing on Descartes - Mediations on First Philosophy. We will have 7 sessions during which we will discuss specific sections with pre-defined questions/themes. If you miss one or some of the sessions? No problem - as long as you read the relevant section, do join us!

How it works

1. Check-in (5–10 min): Discuss what was difficult or striking in the reading
2. Close reading (20–30 min): Read 1–2 key passages together and clarify terms
3. Discussion (30–40 min): Use guiding questions and link abstract arguments to examples
4. Wrap-up (5–10 min): Share one takeaway sentence and confirm reading for the next session
