Vibe Coding a Website (For Non-Technical Users)
·OnlineOnlineYou don't need to learn to code. You need to learn to communicate with AI.
What if you could go from "I have a business idea" to a live, professional website in about an hour — without writing a single line of code yourself? That's not a hypothetical. That's what we're going to do together.
Vibe Coding is a hands-on workshop where you'll use AI tools to build and deploy a real, production-ready website. Not a toy. Not a template. A fully custom site with contact forms, newsletter signup, SEO optimization, mobile responsiveness, accessibility compliance, and security headers — the works. You'll tell the AI what you want, and a team of 19 specialized AI skills will handle the implementation.
I've been in tech since before the web existed — from BBSs to open source to cloud to AI — and I haven't been this excited about a technology shift since the early internet days. We're at the point where the barrier between "I have an idea" and "here's my website" is basically a conversation. And I want to show you how.### What You'll Walk Away With
- A live, professionally built website deployed on Vercel with a custom domain, SSL, and CDN
- Hands-on experience using AI agents to handle brand discovery, design, content, forms, and deployment
- A repeatable workflow you can use for future projects — for yourself or your clients
- The confidence to build web projects without waiting on (or paying for) a developer
### What We'll Cover
Core Workshop (~1 Hour):
- Introduction to the Vibe Coding methodology — what it is and why it works
- Brand discovery: teaching AI who you are and what you need
- Website generation from your requirements using specialized AI skills
- Deploying your site live to the internet
Expanded Deep Dive (Additional Time for Those Who Want More):
- Branding and AI image generation strategies
- Content optimization and persuasive copywriting
- Advanced features: newsletter integration, contact forms, analytics
- Performance tuning and SEO fundamentals
- Quality assurance — the full audit battery
### Before You Arrive: What You'll Need
This is a hands-on workshop. To follow along and build your own site, please set up these free accounts before the event:
- GitHub Account (free) — github.com This is where your website code will live. If you don't have one, sign up — it takes two minutes.
- Vercel Account with v0 (free) — v0.app/ref/VQQW5K Vercel is where your site gets deployed. v0 is their AI-powered development tool. Sign up through this link and we both earn $5 in credits. When you subscribe, we both earn $20 in credits.
- An AI Platform — Pick one (or bring all three):
- Manus (easiest to use) — manus.im/invitation/NAGZ9RPPM9OYOD
- Claude (my preferred platform for the code) — claude.ai
- ChatGPT — chatgpt.com
- Your brand idea — Know what kind of site you want to build. A business, a portfolio, a side project, a community page — anything works. Come with a rough idea of who you serve and what you do.
No coding experience required. Seriously. If you can describe what you want in plain English, you have everything you need.
### Who Is This For?
- Entrepreneurs and small business owners who need a website but don't want to pay $5,000+ for one
- Marketers and content creators who want to prototype landing pages fast
- Consultants and freelancers who want to offer web services without learning to code
- Curious professionals who want to see what AI can actually do right now — not in some hypothetical future
- Developers who want to 10x their speed by letting AI handle the boilerplate
### The Tech (For the Curious)
Your site will be built with standard HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript — no proprietary lock-in, no walled gardens. The code is portable, readable, and yours to keep. It deploys on Vercel with automatic CDN, SSL, and global edge delivery. The AI handles everything from brand voice to WCAG accessibility compliance to Core Web Vitals optimization.

Building Your Startup in the Age of AI
American Underground, 324 Blackwell Street, Durham, NC, USThis session is presented by All Things AI in partnership with The American Underground at the American Tobacco Campus as part of Raleigh Durham Startup Week.
Mark Hinkle has been in and around startups for most of his career. Cloud.com — acquired by Citrix for $300 million. TriggerMesh — co-founded it, backed by Index Ventures and Cisco. A handful of others that never made the headlines, and honestly, most don't. That's the nature of the game. You raise capital, you hire people, you try to get leverage, and then you race against the clock until you either win or you don't.
That model is changing. Fast.
Sam Altman has said that someday we'll see a single-person billion-dollar company. That may be further out than the hype cycle suggests — but what's happening right now is this: a 10-person company with hundreds, maybe thousands, of AI agents working around the clock is not science fiction. It's a capital strategy.
The question isn't whether AI changes how startups are built. It already has. The question is what founders do with that leverage, and how they get started. In this session, Mark will walk through what he's learned — the hard way and the smart way — about where AI actually delivers for early-stage companies. What use cases are ready today. How to think about capital needs differently when you can delegate execution to agents instead of headcount. And how to move faster without losing the thing that makes a startup worth building in the first place.
The opportunity in front of founders right now is the highest level of leverage in 30 years of technology cycles. This session is about how to use it.

How AI Can Build RTP's Next Great Startup
1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd, 4110 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC, USThe Research Triangle has produced some of the most important technology companies in the world. It's a region with world-class universities, deep engineering talent, and a startup culture that doesn't get nearly enough credit on the national stage. The ingredients have always been here. What's changing is how few resources you now need to turn those ingredients into something real.
AI is rewriting the math of early-stage company building. The leverage available to a small founding team today — through agents, automation, and AI-assisted execution — would have required a Series A round and a 20-person team just five years ago. That changes everything about how you think about starting a company in the Triangle right now. This event is being hosted by The Loading Dock and All Things AI for Raleigh Durham Startup Week.
