Changing Role of Data/Data Management Technologies + When Open Source Fails
Details
A slight change to the lineup, but we'll still feature two extremely important topics and two world-class presentations..
The first topic/talk is "The Changing Role of Data and Data Management Technologies". The second is the previously scheduled "When Open Source Fails". The latter is a very truthful look at when things don't go as planned when using open source, something we don't talk enough about in our opinion.
Speakers and topics include:
- Brian Platz - Founder & Co-CEO, Fluree, PBC

Title: When Open Source Fails
Abstract:
We have all been there, needing to build an application using Open Source Software only to discover that the most needed element is not working correctly. Not being our code, it presents a problem. Is there a work around? How about a scheduled bug fix? This talk covers novel ways to overcome this issue with multiple case studies from my own experience.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm ET, programing starts at 6:30 pm. Food and beverages will be served, as always.
