The topic and speaker for September will be tremendous - and we can't wait for this event!

The topic is JAMstack: Web Apps at Ludicrous Speed. The speaker is David Neal, Principal Developer Advocate at Pluralsight. David will also be speaking at All Things Open 2022 - we're treating this as a "sneak peek" of the ATO / 10th anniversary event.

The location will be back in Raleigh at the McKimmon Center on NC State University's campus. It's a great location with plenty of parking and it's very close to the downtown area.

McKimmon Center address:
NC State University
1101 Gorman Street
Raleigh, NC 27606

Drinks and light snacks will be served. Lots of free swag will also be available, as always.

Talk:
JAMstack: Web Apps at Ludicrous Speed

Abstract:
If you're a web developer, chances are you have heard the term "JAMstack." Curiously, JAMstack isn't a solution to prevent clogged printers, something to eat on toast, or a way to make music. Instead, it's an architecture for designing super-fast web applications that easily scale.

In this talk, we'll cover the JAMstack architecture, the numerous benefits of the JAMstack approach, and tools you can use to implement a JAMstack web application. You'll walk away with a clear understanding of JAMstack and resources to quickly build your web app at ludicrous speed!
