True Observability: Why, What & Architecture + Book Signing, networking and swag
Details
Our March meetup will focus on a timely and important topic - observability. We'll look at why it's important, what works, what doesn't, and architecture.
A world-class speaker will once again be featured - Jeremy Proffitt, Director of DevSecOps at Ally, and he'll sign a number of copies of his excellent book "Becoming a Rockstar SRE" for attendees. As always, networking with RDU technologists, amazing (free) swag, and food and beverages will be available.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm sharp - show up early and network, get a t-shirt/hat/sticker, and grab some pizza and drinks. Live programming begins at 6:30 pm ET with a few announcements, then we'll turn it over to our featured speaker.

Talk Title:
Building Reliability - The Realities of Observability
Talk Abstract:
Join me as we discuss true observability, learn what works and what doesn't. We'll not only discuss dashboards, monitoring and alerting, but how these can be built by automation or included in your IAC modules. We'll talk about how to properly alert staff based on priority to keep your staff and yourself sane. And even discuss architecture and how it impacts reliably and why serverless isn't always the best at being reliable.
Questions? Contact us at **info@allthingsopen.org**. We'll respond quickly.
