Description - Join ASTA for a Different View of Stone Mountain! We found a great hike that starts on the MST/horse trail on the edge of the park and takes us to a beautiful view of Stone Mountain and Cedar Rock together, then continues to Lower and Middle Falls, over to the Hutchinson Homestead and down to the Lower Trailhead Parking lot. This hike is surprisingly mostly downhill, with a few short uphill segments. There are two creek crossings, with rocks to step on.

Difficulty: The hike is considered easy to moderate. The pace will be around 2 to 2-1/2 MPH but will be adjusted to allow the group opportunities for observing and photos. Total distance will be around 6.5 miles. The trail has an elevation change of 738 feet.

Access Note: We will meet in the Lower Trailhead Parking Lot of Stone Mountain SP and do a short shuttle in 2-3 cars to the starting point.
