Doughton Park Tent Campground Clean-up

Campground Clean-up Volunteers needed! The Alleghany Sparta Trail Association (ASTA) needs volunteers for a 3-hour Doughton Park Tent- Campground maintenance work session. If you need to come late or leave early, that's fine.

The Parkway has asked us to help with the seasonal cleanup in preparation for the summer camping and picnic season. The date is Saturday, April 18. Meet at the Doughton Park tent campground for check-in and registration at 10:00. The whole campground is planning on opening this spring.

Some rakes, gloves, and volunteer vests will be available; but, if you have your own favorites, you may bring and use those. We could especially use back-pack blowers, if you have them. Fuel will be provided. We will mostly be gathering sticks and small limbs, raking and general clean-up. Your help is much appreciated!
