Music Discovery Night

Do you like to listen to music? Do you sometimes feel like you’ve reached the end of what The Algorithm knows you’ll like? Come share your favorite songs, broaden your musical horizons, and make friends with fellow music fans.

Bring a song you like, and tell us why you like it (“this just sounds cool!” is perfectly legit). We’ll all listen to it, and have a chance to briefly react to it as a group. Just want to listen? That’s okay too, but don’t be shy! This is a Judgement-Free Zone when it comes to musical taste 🙂.

Think of this like music appreciation (but less formal), or a book club for music (but more spontaneous).

I’ll have a computer, speakers, and a big screen for lyrics. If your song is available on major streaming platforms or YouTube, I can play it, otherwise bring a flash drive or device of your own.

I’ll keep a log of the songs we play, so you can follow along even if you can’t make it.

Please update your RSVP if you can’t make it—I want to keep the group size reasonable so everyone gets a turn to choose a song, but I don’t want to leave anyone out unnecessarily.
