*****UPDATE 7/23*****
I sent everyone an info sheet via FB Messenger. Also, you should have received an email from WWV with general information and a waiver to print, complete, and sign. Bring it when you check in for the rafts.

Everyone is paid, and the raft company has 8 spots open if you decide to join the fun at the last minute!

Call Whitewater Voyages: (800)[masked] or (760)[masked]. Reservation #3909 under AMTR, and tell them who you're paying for.

A separate event to drive up Thursday and do the "Cannell Plunge" on Friday is here:

Do either or both! There's a "no raft" option if you or others don't want to raft but want to join the AMTR fun at the raft company's private campground.
Go to

Select "Sierra Escape" for everything you need to know. With all the snowpack they are expecting an epic season on the Lower Kern!

As regular customers, WWV is giving us the 2018 group price of $376 per person, all-in (meals, camping, etc). This does not include food and lodging in Kernville on Friday night before the trip, or tips for the guides ($40 recommended). We've requested the same guides as last year. Friends, family, etc. are welcome too.

***Do not RSVP until your deposit is made*** but feel free to comment if you're a "maybe" or have questions.

**NO RAFT OPTION*** WWV shuttles you to the campsite the first afternoon to join in the on-shore fun and debauchery. They haul all your gear, you just kick back and they do all the cooking, and return you to Kernville after Sunday breakfast. Several people do this every year. **

**Weather TEMP 99° day/67° night

Leave OC no later than 2am Saturday to get to Kernville with enough time for breakfast. Better to drive up Friday (or even Thursday) and stay overnight in Kernville.

Here's the options:

LODGING options:

AirBnB: Full on Friday night before rafting, there is still space on Thursday before Cannell. If you want to add on, Thurs is $80 per person, non-refundable.

Pay via Zelle (preferred) or Venmo to[masked]. I don't take PayPal.

If more people add on the cost for everyone will decrease a bit and you will get some $$ back.

Motel: Rooms are available at Kernville Inn (preferred) or Kern Lodge. A room with 1 queen or 2 doubles is $130 taxes included. Rooms at that rate are starting to book up. Don't wait too long to book; they both have good cancellation policies.

Camping: If you're only camping 1 night there are dry camping sites still available at Frandy where the raft trip departs from. If you're doing Cannell too, there's RV campsites at MRA- (20 minutes north of Kernville where you catch the shuttle) $48/nite, up to 6 people per site/ 2-night minimum.

DIY- Please LMK if you won't need lodging. Thanks if you've already told me you're camping.

Zelle/Venmo payment info above. Email [masked] if you want the AirBnB (for Thurs, Friday, or both), or if you are making your own arrangements.

Frandy Park is the meeting point for the rafting company.
Parking= $8.00 a day. Coin-op showers available when we return, bring quarters.

FRIDAY 6pm DINNER Reservation at That's Italian 5 minute walk from lodging.

SATURDAY 9:30 a.m SHARP inside Frandy Park at White Water Voyages. The raft companies DO NOT wait and you CANNOT catch up on your own.

SUNDAY Rafts arrive at the Takeout point (Democrat Flats) around 2pm. We should be back at the WWV office in Kernville by 330pm and ready to head home by 4:30pm.
