*The soil at Sycamore Canyon consists mostly of decomposed granite. It holds up well to the rain. You can even ride it while it is raining.*

The geology at Sycamore is pretty unique for SoCal. There are tons of single-track options and a lot of variety in terrain. Plus, a some "Utah-esque" features with a mix of technical rock riding and awesome bermed flow trails. There are OPTIONAL technical features to intrigue every level of rider. There is a fun section that people often call mini-Moab and don't forget BFR (Big Eff'n Rock). We will stop in a couple of areas to session some of the technical features.

**BLUE LEVEL RIDE**
*You have a strong understanding of shifting up and down through the gears. You can brake appropriately on descents and maintain a comfortable and sturdy stance on controlled climbs and descents. You are confident riding through various technical features (roots, rocks, tight turns), although you are most comfortable at a slow and controlled pace.*
