๐ด 04/03 FRI 9:00 AM | SLIM SHADY - BROKEN ARROW (SEDONA) | ADVANCED BLUE ๐ด
Details
Distance 15+ miles // Elevation 1,500+ feet
Things get a little more kicked up in the Village of Oak Creek. This is probably the most popular intermediate trail system in Sedona. We will start on Slim Shady, then Templeton to Cathedral Rock, down to Easy Breezy and depending on how everybody is feeling we will loop under the road to do the Hog Trails and Broken Arrow or do Little Horse to Llama.
Slim Shady starts off with the type of chunk that you will see throughout Sedona with lots of rocks and step-ups that you have to keep lifting your front tire over and over and over. It is a full body experience. Templeton eases up on the chunk and takes us to Cathedral Rock (one of the most popular hikes in Sedona) where we will drop down slick rock to Easy Breezy. Easy Breezy is a twisty fun ride through the trees and will take use to HT to connect under the road to the Hog Trails and Broken Arrow.
ADVANCED BLUE
You have a strong understanding and practice with the skills of braking, shifting, cornering, and descending. You are able to navigate variable terrain at a good pace. You are confident and comfortable riding singletrack trails and can easily navigate roots, rocks, mud, sand, and creek crossings. You are capable of a front wheel and rear wheel lift and can put the two together to navigate over obstacles. You are fairly confident on steep climbs and descents, but you may walk sections on trails that are rated Black or Double Black.
