đźš´ 04/02 THURS 8:00 AM | DRY CREEK TRAILS (SEDONA) | BLACK đźš´
Details
Distance 15+ miles // Elevation 1,500+ feet
NOTE: Sedona miles are no ordinary miles! Due to the combination of rugged terrain, rocky technical sections, and frequent elevation changes, a single mile in Sedona can feel like 1.5–2 miles elsewhere. The term is a nod to the extra effort required to navigate the challenging trails, particularly when the climbs are steep, the rocks are chunky, and the descents demand precision. You should be prepared for these “extra tough” miles and pace yourself accordingly.
ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Join us for an exhilarating ride through the iconic red rock landscapes of West Sedona! This is my favorite ride in Sedona, combing the tried and true Dry Creek trails along with one of Sedona's newer trails systems the Western Gateway. It is a great introduction to Sedona’s diverse mountain biking terrain.
We’ll tackle several epic trails including Mescal, Canyon of Fools, Aerie, Last Frontier, Bottom Out, and Chuck Wagon. Expect a mix of challenging climbs, technical descents, and sweeping vistas. Bring your A game! We will traverse a variety of Sedona’s ecosystems, from juniper-dotted dry creek washes to high desert plateaus, shaded oak groves, and iconic red rock formations, each offering its own unique trail experience and scenic reward.
