🚴 THURS 06/18 - SUN 06/21 | SANTA CRUZ! | ADVANCED BLUE & UP 🚴
Details
Experience one of the quintessential NorCal riding experience with a three-day tour of the legendary terrain of Santa Cruz. We will ride a little bit of everything that Santa Cruz has to offer including the sweeping coastal bluffs of the Pacific to the deep, redwood-canopied loam of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Santa Cruz has everything from high-speed, machine-groomed flow to raw, technical singletrack characterized by steep chutes, massive root sections, and natural drops. The dirt here is famous (especially in the winter months) providing incredible grip when moisture levels are just right.
### Trip Itinerary (Subject to Change)
- Day 1: Wilder Ranch State Park - We will start with a mix of scenic cliffside pedaling and undulating meadow trails. Wilder offers a fantastic warmup with smooth, fast-rolling coastal terrace trails that eventually lead into more spirited climbs and shaded canyon descents like the Enchanted Loop.
- Day 2: Soquel Demonstration State Forest (The Flow Trail) - "The Flow Trail" for a long climb followed by one of the most famous stretches of dirt on the West coast. The Flow Trail is a masterpiece of modern trail building, featuring nearly four miles of continuous berms, rollers, and table-tops designed to keep you off your brakes and in a state of pure momentum.
- Day 3: Voldemort - We will finish the trip in an area not to be named. This area is known for its steep, technical, and often unmarked singletrack. Expect tight trees, natural features, and a high-energy atmosphere as you navigate the intricate web of trails that define Santa Cruz's core riding culture.
