Things I’ve Been Putting Off ☕🥐
Details
Got something you’ve been meaning to do forever?
Update your CV.
Send those emails.
Apply for jobs.
Study.
Work on a personal project.
Sort out your portfolio.
Do some paperwork.
Plan something.
Or finally deal with that tiny annoying task you keep postponing.
Bring it with you.
We’ll meet at the café inside De Nieuwe Bibliotheek in Almere, grab a coffee (and preferably something sweet 🥐), sit together and finally get some things done.
The idea is simple: sometimes it’s much easier to start something when you’re not sitting at home alone — and it’s also nicer when you get a chance to chat with people in between.
The plan:
☕ Arrival & goal setting
Get a coffee or something to eat, meet everyone, and decide what you want to accomplish during the meetup.
Each person will briefly share their main goal for the session and write it down — whether that’s finishing part of your CV, answering five emails, studying one chapter, making progress on a project, or finally sorting out some life admin.
💻 45 min focused work
💬 15 min social break
Coffee, chat, meet people and take a break from whatever you’re working on.
💻 45 min focused work
💬 15 min social break & wrap-up
Chat, check what you managed to get done, and see how your original goal went.
During the 45-minute focus sessions, everyone works on their own thing. Headphones are absolutely welcome.
The 15-minute breaks are deliberately there for socialising — this isn’t meant to be two hours of silently sitting next to strangers.
Bring your laptop, notebook, book or whatever you need.
Your task doesn’t have to be impressive or “productive”. If you’ve been avoiding updating one sentence on your CV, replying to three emails or doing your Dutch homework — that absolutely counts.
This isn’t a networking event and there’s no pressure to perform.
Just come, get a coffee and a pastry, meet some people and finally do the thing. ☕🥐
