What we’re about
Sapori d’Italia – Almere is a cultural community founded by an Italian couple – he from Naples, she from Puglia – with the aim of sharing and promoting the rich culinary traditions of Italy in the city of Almere and within the broader Dutch context.
The group organizes monthly workshops designed to practically teach the authentic cooking methods and techniques found in homes across Southern Italy. Each session is a hands-on experience where participants learn step-by-step how to prepare traditional dishes, followed by a shared meal enjoyed together in true Italian style.
Born from a desire to bring real Italian flavors to the Netherlands, the group primarily reaches out to the local Dutch community, offering a cultural bridge through food. Through cooking classes, regional dinners, and convivial gatherings, Sapori d’Italia celebrates Italy’s culinary heritage – rooted in simplicity, quality ingredients, and the joy of sharing.
