AI in het onderwijs: van hype naar houvast
Laat je inspireren door Pascal Mariany, een hybride professional op het snijvlak van technologie en onderwijs. Pascal combineert zijn rol als docent-ontwikkelaar aan de Hogeschool Utrecht met zijn werk als AI-ondernemer bij Onderwijs Orakel. Tijdens deze editie van de Tech Meetup neemt hij je mee in de wereld van verantwoord toegepaste AI, met voorbeelden die je zó in de klas of bibliotheek kunt inzetten.

Van lokaal draaiende AI-modellen die volledig offline werken tot slimme feedbacksystemen voor docenten en leerlingen: Pascal laat zien hoe technologie weer écht van ons kan zijn. Geen black box, maar bruikbaar gereedschap. Geen bangmakerij, maar betekenisvolle innovatie. Hij deelt inzichten uit zijn eigen praktijk, waaronder het bouwen van de ‘Feedback Companion’, een AI-assistent die leraren helpt beter en sneller feedback te geven, AVG-proof én afgestemd op leerdoelen.

Deze sessie is bij uitstek interessant voor iedereen die zich bezighoudt met onderwijs, bibliotheken of jongerenwerk en benieuwd is naar wat AI op lokaal niveau kan betekenen.

Na de presentatie is er ruimte voor een interactieve Q&A met scherpe stellingen en een netwerkborrel.

❌ Eten: Vanwege het grote aantal bezoekers is het voor de organisatie helaas niet mogelijk om snacks te verzorgen. Houd hier dus rekening mee. Misschien is het juist gezellig om na afloop samen met andere deelnemers ergens iets te gaan eten!

Pascal combines his role as a lecturer-developer at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences with his work as an AI entrepreneur at Onderwijs Orakel. During this edition of the Tech Meetup, he will guide you through the world of responsibly applied AI, with practical examples you can immediately use in the classroom or library.
From locally run AI models that work completely offline to smart feedback systems for teachers and students: Pascal demonstrates how technology can truly belong to us again. No black box, but useful tools. No fearmongering, but meaningful innovation. He shares insights from his own practice, including building the ‘Feedback Companion,’ an AI assistant that helps teachers provide better and faster feedback, GDPR-proof and aligned with learning objectives.
This session is especially interesting for anyone involved in education, libraries, or youth work, and curious about what AI can mean at the local level.
After the presentation, there will be time for an interactive Q&A with sharp propositions, followed by a networking reception.
