Beyond the hype: What LLMs can (and can’t) do
Three years after the introduction of ChatGPT, large language models, or AI, continue to capture the imagination. Many organizations are looking for smart ways to apply the technology. While not every problem requires an AI solution, there are also specific applications that were previously impossible.
Schrijf Simpel, an application that helps writers create texts in simple and clear language, is an example of what is possible. In this session, you will hear how AI is applied in Schrijf Simpel and what considerations the Schrijf Simpel team made for this. You will also learn about the (common) challenges they encountered and how they deal with them, and you will gain insight into what an LLM actually is, and what it is not.

We’re excited to have Hugo Visser, an engaged member of the Almere Tech community, share his experiences as part of the Schrijf Simpel team with us. Hugo is the Main Robot at Little Robots and co-founder of Stichting Lees Simpel, a non-profit that aims to support people in developing self-reliance and participation through social software and social design projects.
