(MONTHLY) Find Your Flow: A Nervous-System-Friendly Writing Lab
·OnlineOnline### Find Your Flow: A Nervous-System-Friendly Writing Lab
*a nominal fee is included to encourage attendance, but if it prevents you from joining us, email me for a voucher: elleeachten@gmail.com*
Join Ellee Achten—writer, editor, and somatic coach trained in Somatic Experiencing—for a supportive, low-pressure 2-hour drop-in writing space designed to help you move past the inner critic and into a natural flow state.
Ellee’s approach is trauma-informed, nervous-system-supported, and neurodivergent-friendly, with a focus on helping writers feel safe enough to write without forcing, performing, or pushing through overwhelm. Check out www.elleeachten.com for more info.
This is a flexible, come-as-you-are container. You’re welcome to log on at any point during the 2-hour window and stay for as long or as little as works for you.
✨ Come to write with support
✨ Come to soften and focus
✨ Come to find community
Each session opens with a brief (5-minute) somatic grounding exercise to help regulate the nervous system and make writing feel more accessible. From there, you’ll have spacious, supported writing time in gentle community. Every 30 minutes, Ellee will offer a new optional writing prompt—use it, ignore it, or let it spark something unexpected.
You’re also welcome to ask Ellee a question now and then if you’re feeling stuck, curious, or want a bit of guidance—without interrupting your flow or anyone else’s.
The final 30 minutes are reserved for relaxed, optional community conversation—a chance to connect, reflect, or simply be in creative company.
Ellee brings both deep creative training and nervous-system expertise to this space. She holds a BS in Journalism, an MA in Creative Nonfiction, and an MFA in Fiction and YA, and has spent years supporting writers who feel blocked, sensitive, burned out, or creatively disconnected.
This space is especially supportive for writers who:
- feel blocked, overwhelmed, or self-critical
- want to write without forcing or “powering through”
- benefit from trauma-informed, neuro-complex-aware environments
- enjoy quiet structure and shared creative presence
No pressure. No productivity grind. Just a safe place to show up and let the work move again.
