What we’re about
Alpha Community is an international network of volunteers inspired by the work of Argentine thinker Mario Rodríguez Cobos (“Silo”). We are dedicated to building cooperation, nonviolence, and solidarity in both local and global settings, while also engaging in practices of self-reflection and personal growth.
Our work focuses on creating spaces where people can grow personally while also contributing to meaningful social change. It is one of many responses to the increasingly chaotic, violent and disorienting state of our modern human world. Alpha Community, as a project, invites socially active individuals to create a community where we explore what unites us as human beings: our relationship with society, overcoming pain and mental suffering, and the search for a deeper meaning to life.
Personal development is not something solitary but comes about through cooperation with others and mutual support, overcoming individualism and working together towards greater harmony between what we think, feel and do. We organize meetings, workshops, and collaborative projects that explore topics related to psychology, society, and human experience. These activities help us build healthier environments, encourage open dialogue, and develop practical community initiatives.
We meet weekly, both online and in person, to discuss ideas, share experiences, and stay connected across different countries. Between meetings, members continue their personal practices and support each other’s progress.
Participation is open to people of all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and orientations who share a commitment to freedom, nonviolence, and human dignity.
