**TAKE FLAGSTAFF ROAD TO THE WALKER RANCH LOOP TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT--WHERE WE'LL MEET**
Walker Ranch Loop is a fantastic hiking and mountain biking trail through Walker Ranch Park and a portion of El Dorado Canyon State Park. The loop can be done in either direction. Going clockwise from the Walker Ranch Parking Access, the trail starts with a series of gentle climbs and descents, arriving at the bridge crossing beautiful Boulder Creek (more of a river, due to it's size) and a climb up steep stairs leading to a level rest stop in the forest at the top. We'll gain and lose elevation ('roller coaster' trail), until we come to Crescent Meadows (upper parking lot nearby) and enjoy beautiful mountain views, as well as unique rock formations. From there, it’s a two mile descent back down to Boulder Creek, followed by another moderate climb back to the trailhead/parking lot. The trail is primarily gravel and loose dirt. Walker Ranch Park is located just outside of Boulder and is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. There are 46 parking spots at the trailhead, a restroom and picnic tables. Dogs are welcome, on leash.
***We wait 5 minutes MAXIMUM for hikers who arrive late, out of consideration for those arriving on time. Please allow some extra time to drive to the trailhead.***
