A landscape of rolling grasslands and sandstone buttes at Hall Ranch provides excellent viewing opportunities for wildflowers, animals, and mountain peaks.

Discover this 9.4-mile loop trail near Lyons, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h 19 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and horseback riding, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. You'll need to leave pups at home — **DOGS AREN'T ALLOWED ON THIS TRAIL**. For the Nighthawk Section of this trail, mountain bikes are not allowed. This is a fun loop around the hills and slopes just to the west of Indian Lookout Mountain, which stands at 6,539 feet above sea level. You'll get a good workout on this hike, and have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of amazing views!
