What we’re about
Welcome to Alpine Wellness Hiking Adventures!
Most of our events are hikes but we do explore and engage in other outdoor activities. Our hikes are typically at an intermediate level however, we have easy and difficult hikes from time to time to accommodate all fitness levels. We explore the trails of Kananaskis Country, Banff, Canmore, and surrounding areas. We hike in all seasons.
- Please be considerate, respectful and supportive.
- Alpine Wellness Hiking Adventures is not a dating group.
- Dogs are always welcome.
We look forward to meeting you!

Date: May 11th, 2025
Bike Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
Bike Finish Time: 12:00 p.m. (approximate)
Distance: 21 km (approximate)
Elevation Gain: 423 m (approximate)
Difficulty: Moderate (slow/casual pace)Let's go enjoy another vehicle-free early-season bike ride in the mountains!
We'll begin from Elbow Falls parking lot and find our way around the gates, then ride along highway 66 until we reach the Powderface trail then make a left towards the pond.
This ride features one major climb, though the grade is nothing crazy, which turns into a steep downhill. Although the road remains vehicle-free until May 14th, you're advised to ride carefully and yield to oncoming riders and any wildlife on the road.
Amenities: There are no amenities open past the gates so be sure to have a bathroom break in Elbow Falls lot before starting the ride.
As usual, it's preferred to stick to the group, though depending on the group size we may split into two smaller groups and let the faster people lead the way. We'll take as many breaks as needed and wait on everyone.
All bikes are welcome!!
