"Healy Pass trail is a long and steady hike up a mild incline on a well-maintained trail. It is located close to the town of Banff and follows Healy Creek all the way to the border of two parks and provinces: Banff National Park in Alberta and Kootenay National Park in British Columbia. The route to Healy pass has a steady elevation gain. The views at the end are absolutely stunning with an incredible view of the mountains.

Most of the trail goes through a forest of larch trees, which turn golden yellow in late September. As you approach the last stretch to the pass, the trail emerges from the forest with beautiful views of lakes and the surrounding peaks."(Alltrails)

Note: Due to the long distance, please evaluate your endurance and hiking experience to make sure you are properly prepared for this hike.

Post-hike: Optional visit to Banff for a meal or a beverage (or chocolate) or all of the above! ๐Ÿ˜‡
