The peak of Kilimanjaro is the highest point on the Africa continent and is the highest free-standing volcano in the world.
There are many different routes used to reach the summit and we have chosen Marangu route.
The route chosen is also Known as the “Coca-Cola” route and is a classic trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well established route. It is also the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations.
The initial days of hiking is easy and on defined trails with the distances covered each day while the final day is the most challenging summit of Kilimanjaro as compared to all other routes.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania International airport and shifted to Hotel
Day 2: Mandara Camp 8km (4-5 hours) Elevation change:1800- 2,699m
Day 3: Horombo Camp 12km (6-8 hours) Elevation change:2700-3,700m
Day 4: Kibo Base Camp
10km (6-8 hours)
Elevation change: 3,700-4,700m
(Our special plan on this day will be disclosed to the confirmed participants only)
Day 5: Kibo Base Camp (Full rest day)
Elevation change: go high, sleep low
Day 6: (Summit day): 6km to Summit and 6km back to base camp (10-13hrs).
2 hours rest and than 10 km (3- hours) hike to Horombo camp.
Elevation change: 4700-5,895m-3,700m
Day 7: 20km (5-7 hours)3700-1800 and drive to Moshi Hotel
Day 8: Fly Back home
As you can see, the pace will be moderate and the distances very manageable, with a final push for the summit being typically long after giving the participants a full rest day.

Activities: Trekking/hiking

Challenge:
The main challenge on this trip is dealing with the high altitude and the ability to hike for 5-days in a row with long summit day. You must be ready to walk for 15 hours for the summit day that will be possible by joining our Kilimanjaro training hikes.

Preparation:
You will be invited to join us for proper training hikes and will guide about the equipment and gears to be arranged.

Cost: 2390€ without flights.
Confirmation fee: 500€ payable upon joining.
Minimum Participants: 5 and max 12

Accommodation & meals:
Hotels outside the mountain, huts on the mountain - no camping.
All meals on the mountain and breakfast in hotels are included.
Kindly let us know if you have any special dietary or vegetarian.

Visas:
Tanzania most of nationalities can get visa on arrival. It is participant sole responsibility to secure the admission to the country of destination.
We have chosen the shortest and rewarding (Marangu Route) to provide you with the best opportunity possible to acclimatize in order to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro!

The Detail
The cost of the trip is just 2390€ until September March 17th and 2490€ after the due date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
100€ is non refundable, remaining will be fully refund before 30 days of the trip departure, 50 percent is refunded before 20 days and no refund is made available after the trip departure date.

Disclaimer:
Alpine Trekkers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event at their sole discretion. In such case, the participants will be given an option to claim refund or join the rescheduled event dates.
