The Lemosho Route:
trail has become increasingly popular in recent years, and it's easy to see why. It offers breathtaking views, excellent acclimatization opportunities, and some of the highest summit success rates compared to other routes. Starting on Kilimanjaro's western slope, the Lemosho route offers 6, 7, and 8-day itineraries. One of its standout features is Cathedral Peak, located on the Shira Volcano, which stands at 3872 meters. Hiking to Cathedral Peak allows you to take in some of the most stunning vistas Kilimanjaro has to offer. Another unique aspect of Lemosho is the presence of Dendrosenecio Kilimanjaro, towering alien-like plants found exclusively on this mountain.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania International airport and shifted to Hotel
Day 2: Shira Camp 1, 5km (1-2 hours) Elevation change:+/-100m
Day 3: Shira Camp 2, 2km (1-2hours) Elevation change:+/-200m
Acclimatization hike elevation change +/-400m
Day 4: SHIRA 2 CAMP TO THE LAVA TOWER AND DESCENT TO BARRANCO CAMP, 12km (6-8 hours) Elevation change:+/-400m
Day 5: BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP. 5km(4-5Hours) elevation change: +/-400m
Day 6: TREK TO BARAFU CAMP, 6km(4-5 hours) elevation change: +/-600m
Day 7: (Summit day): 5km to Summit and 5km back to base camp (8-12hrs).
2 hours rest and than 4km descend to Millennium Camp.
Elevation change: 4650-5,895m-3,900m
Day 8: DESCENT TO MWEKA GATE, 12km (4-5 hours)3900-1640 and drive to Moshi Hotel
Day 9: Fly Back home
As you can see, the pace will be moderate and the distances very manageable, with a final push for the summit being typically long after giving the participants a full rest day.

Activities: Trekking and Camping

Challenge:
The main challenge on this trip is dealing with the high altitude and the ability to hike for 7-days in a row with long summit day. You must be ready to walk for 12 hours for the summit day that will be possible by joining our Kilimanjaro training hikes.

Preparation:
You will be invited to join us for proper training hikes and will guide about the equipment and gears to be arranged.

Accommodation & meals:
Hotels outside the mountain and camping on the mountains.
All meals on the mountain and breakfast in hotels are included.
Kindly let us know if you have any special dietary or vegetarian.

Visas:
Tanzania most of nationalities can get visa on arrival. It is participant sole responsibility to secure the admission to the country of destination.
We have chosen the scenic and easy (Lemosho Route) to provide you with the best opportunity possible to acclimatize in order to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro!

Trip Cost: 2790 $ without flights.
Confirmation fee: 500$ payable upon joining.

Advance payment: 500 $ at the time of booking for confirmation, so that we provide you the invitation letter to start the Trekking visa process on time. The remaining can be paid in 2 months of flexible time.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
100€ is nonrefundable, the remaining will be fully refunded before 30 days of the trip departure, 50 percent is refunded before 20 days and no refund is made available after the trip departure date.
However, you may join us for the same trip with 5 years of validity.

Disclaimer:
Alpine Trekkers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event at their sole discretion. In such cases, the participants will be given an option to claim a refund or join the rescheduled event dates.
